Create your own jewelry with the ancestral technique of Lost Wax - EARRINGS / NECKLACES

Embark on a creative journey into the captivating world of wax modeling with this experience and create your own jewelry. 

It is an immersive morning that introduces participants to the fundamental techniques and artistic possibilities of this versatile medium. This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the art of molding and shaping.

*Each participant can decide whether to model and sculpt a pair of earrings or a necklace.

FEATURES:

Wax is valued in the jewelry-making process for its flexibility, ease of manipulation, and ability to capture intricate details, making it a crucial material in the creation of high-quality jewelry.

The course includes all the tools and materials and the casting of a silver piece. There is the possibility of casting more pieces if desired but the cost is extra.

Bring a notebook to make notes.

In case you have an idea in mind for the jewelry to be made, I recommend bringing references or drawings. Please keep in mind that this is a 3.5 hour workshop where we will see a lot of material and therefore do not bring a complicated piece to make. 

This course has two typologies:

There is the option of a one-session workshop or a two-session workshop.
The choice of the course will depend on the experience and knowledge that each person wants to obtain.
By taking the one-session course, you will get a broad knowledge of the work of making wax jewelry.
By taking the two-session course, you will broaden your knowledge of metal work. We will see how to work the piece once the casting is finished.

a/ You learn the wax technique. By the end of this workshop, participants will have a final piece in wax that I will cast later and deliver it in 925 recycled sterling silver after two weeks. 
b/ You learn the technique of wax and metal. We agree on a day and you come 2/4h in the studio (depending on the work required for the jewel being made) and I teach you how to work the piece in metal. 

First session:

I will show you the different types of wax available in the market, we will see what each one is used for and we will experiment with different types of techniques. Each participant will decide how to work their final piece. 

Second session:

We will learn how to saw, file, shape and polish the metal piece. *We will also learn how to weld if necessary.

No previous knowledge of jewelry is required and these are EXPERIMENTAL WORKSHOPS.
